The Dive Site
Fish Rock Cave at South West Rocks is consistently rated as one of the Top 10 dive sites in Australia and with good reason! The gutters around Fish Rock are swarming with Grey Nurse Sharks all year round, as this is a critical stop point as they migrate up and down the Eastern seaboard of Australia.
Escape the craziness of Brisbane and head south for a weekend that will have you buzzing for months to come! Join us as we get up close and personal with the Labradors of the sea and explore the hidden wonders of Fish Rock Cave.
The biggest issue with this site is depth. We highly recommend that you elect to upgrade and dive on nitrox in order to get the most out of your weekend of diving (please ensure to bring your nitrox cert. card). Please advise us ahead of time if you would like to dive on nitrox to ensure that there are nitrox tanks available for you. Diving on Nitrox will give you substantial longer bottom times and ensure that you aren’t as lethargic at the end of the day.

-Suitable for Open Water Divers (certified to 18 metres), however Advanced Open Water Certification is advised

Gear Hire
PDS is able to provide you with a wetsuit, BCD, regulator, computer, tanks and weights for the weekend and please communicate your requirements on the booking form. Each diver must provide their own mask, snorkel, fins and boots (not available for hire). Underwater camera and torches are also available and are subject to availability.
Itinerary We will departing Brisbane (Woolloongabba) mid afternoon on Friday and from here you will be driven in our company van to South West Rocks. Upon arrival you will check in to our accommodation and get a good night sleep ready to dive the world famous Fish Rock Cave on Saturday (4 dives). On Sunday, we will do 2 dives in the morning before heading back to Brisbane after lunch. An itinerary with timings will be sent to you closer to the date of the trip.

Note- Some specialties are site and conditions dependant. All efforts will be made to complete course dives on a booked trip, however if conditions do not allow it the diver will have to book onto another trip to complete the course requirements.
